Areas we serve

Where we build: towns we serve from Spring Grove

Our shop is at 7706 Industrial Dr in Spring Grove, in McHenry County. From here we build and install custom kitchen cabinets, built-ins, closets, vanities, millwork and stairs for homeowners, general contractors, interior designers, developers and architects across McHenry, Lake, Kane, DuPage and Cook counties. Each town page below covers the homes there, the rooms we build in them, who issues permits in that town, and the work we have done nearby.

McHenry County

  • Johnsburg

The village says it has the most Chain O'Lakes waterfront; 8 minutes from the shop.

  • Richmond

A historic village of Greek Revival and Victorian homes, 8 minutes north of the shop.

  • Algonquin

Fox River resort village, Old Town's 300 historic structures, and the subdivisions that doubled the village in the 1990s.

  • Spring Grove

Our shop is here, beside the Chain O'Lakes.

  • McHenry

River cottages and postwar subdivisions, 15 minutes from the shop.

  • Crystal Lake

Charles Dole's 1865 lake estate, two villages that became one city in 1914, and the subdivisions that followed O'Hare.

Lake County

  • Hawthorn Woods

Early ranches of cedar and redwood, and a village hall in the old farm barn.

  • Long Grove

Country lots, no sidewalks or residential street lights, and a kitchen of ours.

  • Riverwoods

Modernist houses in the woods, about 30 private associations, and a permit for dead trees.

  • Lake Forest

Five local historic districts, and a city rule of thumb: a permit for anything but flooring, painting or planting.

  • Libertyville

A railroad village rebuilt in brick after the 1895 fire, with a downtown on the National Register since 2025.

  • Highland Park

Lake bluffs, ravines and Prairie School estates, three Wright houses, and more than 130 local landmarks.

  • Deerfield

The Caspar Ott log house of 1837, and a village that grew fast around the time the Edens Expressway opened.

  • North Barrington

Biltmore's 1926 lake estates and Wynstone's golf homes, 27 minutes from the shop.

  • Lake Bluff

A Methodist camp town of 25-foot lots, then lake estates, on the bluff.

Cook County, North Shore

  • Kenilworth

A planned village of 1889, and a permit is needed to replace kitchen cabinets.

  • Winnetka

Tudor Revival streets and lakefront ravines; no permit for a straight cabinet swap.

  • Glenview

The Park, begun in the 1890s, the streets built after the Edens opened, and The Glen on the old naval air station.

  • Wilmette

The first suburb north of Evanston on the lake: Prairie and Craftsman houses, Oak Circle's bungalows, and 38 landmarks.

  • Northbrook

Shermerville until 1923, then a village that grew more than sevenfold between 1950 and 1970.

  • Glencoe

Frank Lloyd Wright's Ravine Bluffs and Keck's Forest Crest, among the ravines.

Cook County, northwest

  • South Barrington

Founded in three days in 1959 to keep out quarter-acre lots; 45 private lakes and ponds.

  • Inverness

Planned in 1926 with one-acre lots and no fences, curbs or street lights.

  • Park Ridge

A brick town from the 1850s, planned for large homes on wide lots, with an arts community and 18 landmarks.

  • Barrington Hills

Five-acre horse country across four counties, with heritage-tree rules.

  • Barrington

A railroad village of 1865, one of the largest frame-home districts in Illinois, and the Queen Anne houses of Lake Street.

Cook and DuPage, west

  • Hinsdale

Robbins Park, a National Register district of 368 buildings, and new houses on older lots.

  • Elmhurst

Cottage Hill's 1843 tavern, houses by Wright, Griffin and Mies, and older blocks where new houses replace old ones.

  • Naperville

Joseph Naper's 1831 settlement, a downtown historic district, and the subdivisions Harold Moser began in 1956.

  • Western Springs

Founded in 1886 by a Quaker developer, grown one neighborhood at a time, from Old Town to Timber Trails.

Kane County

  • Campton Hills

A village only since 2007, on country lots with wells and septic.

  • Geneva

The Kane County seat, a 670-property historic district of river-stone and Victorian houses, and three Wright projects.
