Common questions
Yes. A reference photo is a good way to show us the style you like. At the visit we measure your wall and give you a straight number. If it works for you, we design the piece around your room, and the drawings set the final price.
Built-ins and millwork usually take 4 to 6 weeks, sometimes less, depending on scope. Ask us for a schedule for your piece.
Yes. You approve a 2D layout, with 3D renderings where they help, before anything is built. The FAQ covers revisions and change orders.
We design the cabinetry around where the TV, outlets and devices go, so tell us that first and send photos of nearby windows, outlets and trim. When the quote lists it, new wiring is done through a licensed electrician we coordinate, and it may need a permit.
Yes. Send the architect's drawings and tell us who makes the design decisions, so the work stays coordinated. We price from those drawings.
Yes. In Glencoe we built a white mantel with fluted pilasters, and in Schaumburg a mantel and ceiling beams on an entertainment wall. Send the fireplace's model or its installation manual, because the woodwork has to keep the maker's clearances.
Yes, with trim made to match the house. Our Lake Forest work included wainscoting.
Yes, suitable commercial millwork and casework. In Evanston we built a lobby kitchenette with a fluted white oak island for a general contractor. See our work.
